Salt Lake Valley from the Living Room Trail on our way to Mt Wire.

1/2 mile to the summit. 600 ft of elevation gain left to go. The view of North Salt Lake just appeared.

At the summit. David climbed the tower and unfurled a banner. The wind was strong and eventually pulled the flag off the pole. Into the black of night it flew. It survived Kilimanjaro. But retired into the heavens on Mount Wire.

A five hour hike in the dark with 3 delightful trail buddies.
For me this was a very tough one. Starting out my feet were already tender. About half way up I tripped and came smashing down on my right heel. It was torturous for the rest of the ascent. Fortunately, the 20 minutes we spent on the top gave my feet a much needed rest. Our 2 hour descent was spent in fascinating conversation.
Thanks again to my three late night companions. Love you guys.

So climb to the highest point
Scream in your loudest voice
There’s a lifeline waiting for you
Strike up the brightest fire
Fan the flames and let it burn
Just let it burn, the world is waiting
It’s up to you, it’s up to me
They should know they’re not alone
So shine so they can see the lighthouse
And find their way
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Sign the new Petition:
Climb a mountain, hilltop or driveway. Unfurl a banner and share it.
Come to the March for the Children on October 5, 2019 in Salt Lake City.
THIS IS THE BIG ONE.
If we have 5,000 marchers, the national media will be all over it.
Institutions will be warned. Huge awareness will be raised.
Children will be protected. Past victims will take solace.
